Voice Data

When you use pronunciation practice features:

• Audio recordings are processed in real-time for pronunciation assessment
• We store assessment results (scores and feedback) but do not permanently store raw audio recordings
• Voice processing is performed by Microsoft Azure Speech Services

We use the collected information to:

• Provide and maintain our service
• Track your learning progress
• Provide personalized pronunciation feedback

• Supabase - Authentication and database services
• Microsoft Azure Speech Services - Voice recognition and pronunciation assessment
• RevenueCat - Subscription and payment processing
• Sentry - Error tracking and performance monitoring

Each of these services has their own privacy policy governing their data practices.

Third-Party AI Services

To provide grammar correction and language learning feedback, we share your message text with third-party AI services. We obtain your explicit consent before sharing any data with these services.

• Google Gemini - Provides conversation analysis, grammar feedback, and native expression suggestions. We share: the text of your messages (not audio recordings). Google processes this data according to their Privacy Policy.
• Microsoft Azure Speech Services - Provides voice recognition and pronunciation assessment. We share: audio recordings during voice practice sessions. Microsoft processes this data according to their Privacy Statement.

4. Data Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active. When you request account deletion:

• Your deletion request enters a 30-day grace period
• You can cancel the deletion during this period
• After 30 days, your data is permanently deleted
• Some anonymized data may be retained for analytics purposes

5. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access - Request a copy of your personal data
• Correction - Update or correct your information via the app
• Deletion - Request deletion of your account and data
• Portability - Request your data in a portable format

6. Data Security

We implement appropriate security measures including:

• Encrypted data transmission (HTTPS/TLS)
• Secure authentication with JWT tokens
• Regular security audits
• Access controls and monitoring

7. Children's Privacy

Our service is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.
